HOLIDAY TEACHER GIFTS

I think this could be it... I think I am finally finished creating holiday presents for teachers and co-workers. This "handbag" I made for my daughters teacher. I also made versions for my sons teacher and student teacher. I used Wintergreen Designer Series Paper, sticky tape to adhere the Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon to the handbag. As an added touch I used two silver brads to make it look like they were holding the handles onto the handbag. The gift tag is made from Very Vanilla cardstock with a piece of coordinating Wintergreen paper. I filled the handbag with ten cards for various occasions. Here is a LINK to the instructions.

The last gifts I worked on are two more boxes for the BEST special education teachers I could ask to work with. They truly are special people and make my job easier. THANK YOU both! Here are the boxes...

The first box I used the new EMBRACE LIFE stamp set. I fell in love with this set and the colors on the front cover of the SPRING~SUMMER COLLECTION 2008 the moment I saw them. I used River Rock for the box, matching it with Ruby Red and Groovy Guava cardstock. I stamped the image on Watercolor Paper using Stazon black ink. Using a Blender Pen I painted the image using the same colors in ink. I added a bit of "bling" by adding two silver brads.
The second box I used the new TIME WELL SPENT Level 3 Hostess Set. Berry colors are in for this spring so I chose to use Purely Pomegranate, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and teamed them with Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip. It looks almost good enough to eat! Again, I used Water Color Paper with Stazon black ink. Instead of using blender pens and ink I used Watercolor Crayons to paint the flower. To add dimension to the flower I used Crystal Effects with Micro Beads and a rhinestone brad. To make the backdrop for the flower I broke out the scrap box!

IT'S ALL BOXED UP!

Instead of doing stockings this year I created boxes for each of my nieces and nephews. I found this wonderful box on Fat Cat Stamper. I could not resist re-creating my own! But, I have to apologize for using two retired sets... Girlfriends & Sporting Goods... but they are sets that I cannot bare to part with. ENJOY!

HOLIDAY CARDS

Man did I have fun designing my holiday cards this year. I love Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranite together. The Season of Joy set was my favorite from the Holiday Mini Catalog and the wide satin ribbon in Purely Pomegranite is gorgeous! I am praying that they add the wide satin ribbon to the 2008 Spring and Summer Collection! I also used paper from the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' kit, a silver brad, scallop & 1" circle punch and silver elastic cording.

Speaking of the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit... I LOVE THE COLOR COMBINATION! I came up with a simple one layer card and anyone could create! Here I used the stamp set Snowfall, Whisper White cardstock, Regal Rose wide grosgrain ribbon with Bashful Blue and and Wild Wasabi ink. Simple... simple... simple!

This last card I used the Holiday Glitz package that Stampin' Up! offered as a kit. I added a few touches to make it mine! I liked the idea of using a flap to close the card but did not like the directions to use simple staples. I decided to use two red brads and silver elastic cording instead. The other change I made was to 'hide' the ribbon to let more of my stamped image show. The best thing about this kit was everything came pre-cut, scored and ready to! Included in the kit was cardstock & Designer Series Paper, pre-cut ribbon and rhinestone brads. All I needed to add was the stamp set Snowfall and ink in Soft Sky & Wild Wasabi.
