I played a bit with the note cards but haven't even prepared the Fresh-Cut stamp set. I will probably play with that when I get back from vacation! Here are the details about the card I made for my nieces birthday.

Supplies:

  • Fresh Cut Flowers note cards
  • Office Accoutrement stamp set (pg. 124, 108541, set of 10 @ $31.95)
  • Big Bold Birthday (pg. 41, 109439, set of 13 @ $27.95)
  • Priceless Classy Brass Template (pg. 187, 109541 @ $15.95)
  • Rhinestone Brad (pg. 189, $10.95)
  • Ink pads: Rose Red and So Saffron
  • Pastels: Rose Red and So Saffron
  • Sponge Daubers

Directions:

  1. Punch out the petals on the Fresh-Cut note card.
  2. Stamp the large and small flower, of the Office Accoutrement set, using Rose Red ink on Whisper White card stock.
  3. Cut out the inner flower (of the large flower) it fits perfectly within the punch out petals on the Fresh-Cut note card.
  4. Cut out the small flower now.
  5. Take the Priceless Classy Brass Template and dry/blind embossed the scalloped edges.
  6. With a sponge dauber, dab the So Saffron pastel and dab is all over the front of the card. I went a bit darker around the scallops and the punched out flower on the card.
  7. Then with a cotton swab use Rose Red to highlight the inside edges of the punched out petals, in turn outlining the So Saffron image you made on the inside of the card.
  8. Ink up the small flower again and stamp the image (on the inside of the card) in the middle of the chalked flower.
  9. Now use the Rhinestone Brad to put the flowers together.
  10. Lastly I stamped a "happy birthday" saying from the Big Bold Birthday (pg. 41, 109469, set of 13 @$27.95)

Give me a call or jot me an email so you can take advantage of this awesome deal!!!!!

What a neat idea to use the dry embossing technique to get the scalloped look!! This is a fabulous card - hope you had a great vacation too!
