FUN WITH COUPONS

I finally got out the rub-ons and tried them this weekend. They are so much fun and so easy to use! I have had Create a Coupon for about a year because my mother in law wanted to make coupons as gifts. She is not a stamper so I offered to purchase the set and create some cards for her. A year later, here some are... she has so much patience!

WE HAVE JOHNNY!

Sorry but this is a non Stampin' Up! post but I couldn't resist.

The kids and I were successful! Johnny Depp is in our area filming his latest movie, PUBLIC ENEMIES (Johnny Depp playing John Dillinger). We decided to go to the set after school today. I had heard that they were going to be filming 'indoor' scenes this afternoon so I wasn't hopeful that we would see him. When we got there people were standing six deep in the street trying to catch a glimpse. We happened to get to an area with less people and simply waited... and waited... and waited. So... I started to talk to people around me. Most had been there all day and were more than willing to show me the photos they had already gotten and some even emailed me their photos.

To our surprise... he was filming a shoot out get-away scene. The shot is done over and over using lots of different camera angles and placements. Every time they shot a scene we scrambled to take pictures and then the crew needed to reset the scene and Johnny had a bit of time. He waved and played it up with the crowd. He was such a class act! We got about 1/4 city block away from him and I got some amazing photos I would have loved to see Christian Bale but he isn't in the scenes that are being filmed in our area.

Enjoy the pictures!!!!!!! If you look closely you can see Johnny's "John Dillinger scar". WOW... doesn't he looks so amazing clean shaven'!!!!!

THE FLU HAS STRUCK!

It has gotten down-right nasty at our house! It started off a couple weeks ago with my husband for a couple days, then my son last weekend and now me! I have been out since Wednesday night. I was hoping and I would be feeling better when I got up this morning but a 101 degree fever is still hanging on and my body is one achy mess!
